The New Opportunities Fund launched its big round three programme New Opportunitiesfor PE and Sport, in Northern Ireland on 23 January. The £33.75m programme is very similar in character to its England and Wales counterpart, with the emphasis on capital build, revenue for promoting community involv ement in school sports facilities and some cash for outdoor adventure facilities.
NOF has made indicative funding allocations for each of the Education and Library Boards, which will be expected to coordinate portfolio bids from their schools and other
key partner organisations.
