HLF parks
The Heritage Lottery Fund has produced a new application pack for its Public Parks Initiative (the revamped Urban Parks programme). This includes a pre-application form and highlights the availability of project planning and project development grants for the scheme (full grants begin at £50K). Awards under £1m require 10% match funding, cash or in-kind; over £1m need 25%. The relaunched scheme also extends eligibility to historic country parks.
Call the HLF helpline on 020 7951 6043 for an application pack.
Cash dip
The DCMS, in its latest quarterly forecasts, is predicting a further drop in income from Camelot ticket sales. Last autumn it had reckoned on a steady £1.27bn a year up to 2008-09, but in its February update the highest income figure (for 2003-04) is £1.25bn, dropping steadily down to £1.19bn by 2008-09.
