Landscape Partnerships
This UK-wide HLF programme targeting rural regeneration initiatives is scheduled for launch early in 2003. Partnerships will be expected to submit portfolio bids encompassing a range of heritage and community benefits. Although the application form is not yet ready, fairly detailed interim guidance is available for anyone wishing to begin the preparation of an application. For details see

NESTA revamp
The Lottery endowment fund for innovation, NESTA, has relaunched its website, with more detailed information about its funded projects, and more general information for wannabe entrepreneurs. There is also some interactive material and a searchable database of awards. Nesta, which has led the way among lottery distributors in online applications, says it has improved and speeded-up its electronic application process – feedback on this is no doubt welcomed!

Nof directors
As NOF continues to expand its devolved operations, it has announced the names of the three directors who will head up its Scotland, Wales and N Ireland offices. Beverley Francis, a former adviser to the Scottish Executive with a specialism in housing and regeneration policy, will be based in Glasgow, leading the Scotland operation. Ceri Doyle leaves her work in local government, where she has been doing external funding roles, to run Wales from Cardiff, and Walter Rader has been promoted from his pervious post as head of office to become director of N Ireland based in Belfast.
